The Sun Cell

The cell where the children of the sun reside. The walls are painted bright yellow. Fluffy red comforters cover the bunks built into the wall. The concrete floors have been covered with polished wood. Against the wall is a flowered antique couch that has seen better days. A lamp sheds warm light from the corner.

Mercury

Like the planet itself, Mercury's cell is small. The room is simple. Iron beds are lined along the wall with white sheets and metallic orange blankets. The rug on the floor is the same orange color. Each bed has its own metal lamp.

Venus

The cell for the children of Venus. The door is covered with a beaded pearl curtain. Inside, the walls are a creamy color. The beds are neat and tidy, some bunks and others not, each with pale, comfy bedding and lots of pillows. Lace curtains are draped around the beds.

Mars

The cell for the children of Mars. The bunks are built into the wall, army-style, and covered with an assortment of pillows and blankets. The colors are primarily red- red walls, carpet and bedding. The only light comes from a collection of lava lamps on a shelf. Several armchairs and cushions are crowded into the cell as well.

Jupiter

The cell for the children of Jupiter. The room can only be described as chaotic. A storm of knickknacks, laundry, old homework, and whatever else covers the swirly carpet. Hanging from the ceiling are colorful streamers and old tennis shoes. The mattresses are barely visible beneath the mess. The walls are covered with splatters of paint and hand prints. A disco ball shoots light around the room.

Saturn

Saturn's cell is circular. A giant circular rug spirals inward. Hammocks are mounted against the walls. A shelf goes around the top of the room, holding belongings. Stripes are painted on the walls, making it seem like the room is surrounded by Saturn's rings.

Uranus

The cell for the children of Uranus is blue. Very blue. The walls and ceiling are a creamy blue, and the concrete floor has been spray painted cobalt blue and covered with baby blue exercise balls and royal blue yoga mats. The beds are in a line against the wall, each with its own soft sky blue blanket and pillow. Even the lamps cast a light blue glow.

Neptune

The cell of the children of Neptune is an icy dreamland. Fluffy white beds and rugs cover most of the space. A suede metallic couch and chairs sit beneath a faux-crystal chandelier. The walls seem to shimmer with the lightest blue and are covered with handmade snowflakes.

The Dwarf Planets

This is the cell where the children of the five dwarf planets, Pluto, Ceres, Eris, Makemake and Haumea reside. The room is hard to describe. It is irregular shaped. Some beds are built into the walls and others pushed against the walls. Books and trinkets cover the top of a creaky chest of drawers. The walls are in different stages of painting. Chairs of all shapes and sizes crowd in one of the corners.
